Another significant milestone move by Port of Duqm (PODC) changing the dynamics of Fisheries Sector in the country. PODC ties up with Al Wusta Fishery Industries LLC (AWFI), a new company in commercial fisheries and part of Oman Investment Fund. AWFI, with their deployment of with 2 fishing trawlers practically a floating factory establishes commercial pelagic fishing in Al Wusta Region, Gulf of Oman and the Indian Ocean. Maersk Shipping Solutions as a service provider to AWFI offering complete logistics for global destinations. Port of Duqm is now a most preferred hub for the region in Fisheries Sector.
